Founded by local Ian Little, Radio Foxton first went live on the 1st of September 1991. With support from the Foxton community the station was able to move out from it's temporary studio into 'Broadcasting House' on Main Street and soon grew into three studios. Since 2014 the Radio Foxton team have been broadcasting out of MAVtech using ex- Radio New Zealand studio equipment which was put back on air after years on display.
Radio Foxton has a dedicated team of volunteer announcers and DJs- all coordinated by station manager Xan. From classical music to the heaviest metal Radio Foxton has every kind of music for every kind of listener-so tune in to hear your favourites or experience something new!
Xan and the team don't just work from the studio- 105.4FM broadcasts from fairs, market days and events making Radio Foxton a true community radio station. To find out about the latest programmes and to stay up to date visit MAVtech's Facebook page below.
